The Rugby Paper: All change for coaches as Cheika stands by

The coaching merry-go-round in France is always interesting – and this year it’s up there with the bizarre 2016/17 season, when Toulon burned through four head coaches.

This, then, was the theme of my latest column for The Rugby Paper.

In years gone by, the big-name signings of the Top 14 would be splashed across the rumour mill by now. But this has been far from a normal year – and French recruitment would probably have looked very different even without the global pandemic.
